This is perplexing me. I used to use vegas pro 11 until I upgraded to vegas pro 13. I start a new project in my new vegas pro 13, I then save the project. I come back to work on it and its coming up in vegas pro 11 and I don't know what to do, irritating. Anybody can help please, thank you.

The files need to be associated with Vegas 13. Sometimes when installing more than one version, this happens. The other option is to open them after you open the Vegas program.

It sounds like you are opening your projects from Windows Explorer. If so, then the default setting in Windows for .veg files is still set at VP11. To change the default program, just go to Control Panel/Programs/Default Programs/Make a file type always open in a specific program. Locate the .veg listing once the list establishes, and then use the Change Program button (top RH corner) to change the default from VP11 to VP13.

Awesome advice, thank you, it worked beautifully, I now can open my projects in vegas 13. Just to confirm something, in my folders where it says name, date modified, type, size ect, it says for type veg file, before it said vegas pro 11, its working but I just want to make sure I did it right.

That sounds right to me.

On Windows Explorer, I have the VP13 logo just to the left of the .veg file name. I suspect that this just reflects the default program setting. Right clicking the veg file and then selecting "Open with" shows a choice of VP13 or VP12 logos in my case because I have both of those programs installed.
