Thanks for the idea and "how to" Spot. You make it look so easy.

Excellent tutorial Spot. Looks like a cool tool for making DVD templates too. Gets the creative juices flowing.
Thanks,
Randy

Thank you for an excellent tutorial Spot. A lot of thought in it. I like the "sideways" appreciation of Vegas you always seem to have.

Hey spot

I have tried a few tutorials on the bezier masking and none of them seem to work for me. I follow them step by step and even draw the mask but for some reason it never cuts away the masked area. When I check mask and uncheck mask nothing changes. Any help would be appreciated

Does it not cut away anything? or does it not cut away the masked area and insted cuts everything else around it?

sorry im a nimrod, I wasn't completing the other masked area. I was only drawing the jagged line. Man i've been trying to figure this out for too long for it to be that easy. Never downloaded the veg. a newbie eror and i've been using this software for at least 5 years. At least I figured it out myself in the end.

It's all good, the masking wasn't available till now right?

This reminds me of what I did in one of my Graphic Design classes back in H.S. We had to make a torn picture type of look. We did a matched white layer under the picture just past the edge of the tear. <-- just thought I throw that in as another option to this.
