New Video Card, or keep the old one??

I'm using a 32 MB Geforce 2 w/ Twinview (for duel monitors) on my video/audio editing PC. This might be a dumb question, but would a 64 MB video card help me out at all for using Vegas Video 3? I am thinking no, but Maybe I am wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Brian

PS(BTW. GG, i think you should start to write a book on VV3. I would buy it.)

Let's assume you're using both monitors at 1600x1200 resolution, in 32
bit color. That would require a little less than 16MB of video RAM. Any
memory beyond this just simply wouldn't be used by a program like
Vegas. The extra memory would be used by 3D programs doing (or
attempting) real-time texture mapping, and this just doesn't apply to
video editing. While it's true that Vegas is doing some very heavy
processing of the video files, the actual work that is done by your display
adapter card is rather tame.

I think it would in terms of 2d stuff on the screen...but remember Vegas doesn't utilize the card as much as video game companies do. No 3d excelleration at all utilized. I guess what ever on board ram it has and processor it comes equiped with it will.

thanks for the answers everyone.

GG, I was just thinking about all the books out there for the software I use like Dreamweaver 4, Photoshop 6, etc.. etc.. and was realizing that VV hasnt had one yet and you seem extremely full of VV knowledge. I've been on this forum for less than a week frequently and you seem to answer almost every question that comes up and the answers are very helpful. Just a suggestion, think about it =)
