New work to share - Stonefield

Hey guys,

Here's a short clip of the fashion show I worked for a few weeks back.

Three camera set up...

- one roaming on steadycam in the background
- one shooting right down the pipe dead on ( think it was a VX2000 )
- me with the elura shooting low and to the right. Any shots of the camera looking "up" is me.

All edited with Vegas 5. Music by my buddy Bobby James who also operated the steadycam shots. ( love those talented friends ! )

Typical Stonefield work here, effects, transitions, very upbeat edits. Obviously lot's of fun. Especially when using Vegas ! Vegas really shines with this type of work. Although I found the mixing of the progressive and interlaced footage very challenging. Oh and I just love the VX2000's image. Great camera.

Next up, the bikini segment ( not kidding ) Look for it in about a week.

Just wanted to share as it's been a while since i've done so.....

The video is very compressed at the clients request. I woulda liked a 15 meg version but they wanted to keep it under 5 megs. If I get enough requests, I can put a larger file up on my site.

Cool deal Stan.
Thanks for sharing.
I Still crack up at "One Inch Zipper." I am definitely NOT hip.
Your effects were very well done. Very seemless and non-distracting. When I first saw your thread (do they still call this a thread?), I skipped to the bottom and checked out the segment. Then I came back here and read your post. When you said, "
Typical Stonefield work here, effects, transitions," I thought, 'I didn't see any effects.' So I had to go back and watch it again and LOOK for the effects. They were so well integrated, I didn't notice the first time 'round. Good show. You are the master!
Looking forward to your next work. Your stuff is always great.

Stan! You shouldn't do this to an older person - really!

Great cut to the beat . . did you consider a small piece of lingering slomo? Maybe a greyed out slomo in the background? I wanted to see the pan/tilt-ups going progressively from model to model as they moved down the cat-walk - aka "Scrubs" intro .. yeah?

Mj? Interesting use of "split" metaphors and imagery, "I Still crack up at "One Inch Zipper.""

Dang I keep getting that stupid WM error on the player.
"The source filter for this file could not be loaded. (Error=80040241)"
Go to the WM web site says its under investigation.
Crap!
Let me know if you put it on your site Stan.

Hey Eric,

I'll put a higher rez version on my website for ya. I've switched servers so my bandwith allowance has multiplied by 3.

There's actually a bit of new stuff to share. I'll let ya guys know when it's up. Might be a long weekend project for me....

I think it's safe to say that there won't be an episode of that nastiest jobs tv show dealing with your work. I'm sure it's hard work but many would like to think they could do it.

Congrats.
