That second link to the Bohemian Rhapsody: seriously, did he do ALL those parts himself? If so, absolutely brilliant. Wow.

I remember seeing the Bohemian Rhapsody video (link 2 above) when it was posted here before, but watched it again and smiled throughout. I especially loved the gong hit at the end.

(YouTube then recommended, to me, a 1 hour BBC documentary about the making of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody -- and I watched it too! A leisurely day off here...)

Anyway, I later watched Richie's tutorial video (link 1), and ended up watching all the way through (even though it's pretty elementary stuff for most of us). He did a great job with it -- very natural tutorial dialogue, no stutters or stumbles.

Richie must visit this forum from time to time, because in the tutorial he mentions about using a black color generator on a top track to fade all the tracks below it -- a trick he learned "from the Sony forum". (Maybe from "jdw's" post in this thread: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=727846)

Also, in the tutorial, he mentions using cowbell for his click track ("insert joke here"). He played with the band Blue Oyster Cult for a number of years -- in the band's later years.

He seems to be such a talented and genuine guy. His blog here -- scroll down to Tuesday, January 8, 2013 -- describes the making of the Abbey Road Medley video: http://www.richiecastellano.com/blog/.
