I am totally new to Vegas and am using Vegas Pro 15 Suite. I've used other editors (consumer/prosumer/pro) in the past but lately, I have been intrigued by Vegas so bit the bullet.

So please forgive me if I ask what appears to be simple or uninformed questions. I am at the "baby" stage of using Vegas and need a lot of help and patience. I can "fumble" my way around "ok", but some things I would need additional help and clarification.

A little background on me. I started editing with the Amiga computer. Started with genlocks, then expanded to add TBC's, Video Toaster, Panasonic AG series SVHS decks, cameras, deck controller and more Amiga's with Opalvision and GVP accelerator cards. I had 4 Amiga's at one time. Then finally the PC caught up and Commodore went dead. I bought DPS Editbay, then Pinnacle DV500 w/Premiere 6 (Matrox RT2500 card would not work for me). Then upgraded to Pinnacle Edition through Avid Liquid. I'm retired now and edit for myself and church. No more clients to please. I've been using Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate a lot (since it's introduction as Avid Studio). It's surprisingly powerful and can get the job done. Lots of plugins too. But there are those times I want to be able to do "more" and can't. Software limitation. Vegas has the features I was looking for at a price a retired person can live with. I moved from NYC and live now in Poland which is a beautiful country, and shoot a lot in 4K with Panasonic mirrorless cameras.

Computer specs are AMD 7 1700X oc'ed to 3.9Ghz, MSI Gaming X RX480 8GB, SSD's, mechanical storage drives and dual monitor setup with one being 4K the other 1080HD.

Welcome to Vegas Pro user group Anthony Pierre!

You are welcome to post a question here...

As for tutorials of Vegas Pro, I have gathered some tutorials I considered the best plus other users' input over here:

--- Even though some tutorials may came from older version of Vegas Pro, the basics are still the same.

Enjoy!
