newbie--black borders around video?

Hello, I have two, simple I presume, questions:

I would like to use video clips from my digital camera, 320x240 15fps, as part of my NTSC DV project. But I want them to be surounded by black borders instead of filling the entire "screen". I dont want to double the resolution, I want to leave it as is. What is the best way to do this?

I have a similar type of question, how do I add a black border of, say, 10 lines at the bottom (and on top) of my DV video (converted using Canopus advc-100, i want to eliminate the overscan noisy lines)?

Thanks

Just use the track motion for both. That would be the easiest. :)

Hi athans.

1. Put the video clip on the timeline. Go to the Pan/Crop settings, and set the size to 720x480, with Lock Aspect ratio unlocked. For the Source settings, check Maintain Aspect Ratio and Stretch To Fill frame. This should give you the black surround without resizing the video.

2. Use the Cookie Cutter as an Event Fx, to apply the black border to your DV clip. Again, this should work without rescaling the video.
