Here's what I'm trying to accomplish.
I am rendering a small video. 15fps. I want to have it in .mov format. I also want to compress the audio the best it can be.
So, after consulting someone they told me to compress to .mp3. However, when I go to set custom settings on audio, .mp3 isn't an option. I've tried to compress the audio first by rendering in .mp3 opening it and adding it to the project and removing the original audio from the project. No matter what I do on my custom settings in audio I spike up on size when I render to .mov.
I've probably spent 5-6 hours attempting to tweak the settings and render this lil clip with no luck :(
Here's more detailed info on my rendering settings.
Video = Using Sorenson 3 frame size multimedia 15.00
Audo = I've tried every compression setting available including uncompressed since I tried pre-compressing the audio to .mp3 before rendering to .mov. Main sample rate 22,050, 16 bit, Stereo.
This clip is only about 38 seconds and after a black pause on the beginning it spikes the file size to 13mb. On 6:1 audio compression it doesn't spike so hard but still ends up at almost 20mb for the entire file. I don't quite understand why I would need to compress the audio more since its compressed already down to a 1.4mb file.
From what I've seen others that use mac Final Cut Pro, the file size is MUCH smaller for that length of video.
Why is there no option for .mp3 compression in the audio section of the custom rendering section? Is there a way to add a plugin for this? And yes I have the full registered .mp3 unlocking the 30 trials on the main render as.
btw-I've tweaked the video settings every which way and it doesn't help or hinder the problem. Audio however seems to make a huge difference. :(
Help before I pull what little hair I have left on my head.
TIA
