Newbie: How to create DVD Menus

I imagine I'm missing something obvious, but...

I typically use a different video editing product so I'm used to doing things a certain way. That's neither good nor bad, just an excuse for asking dumb questions :-)

Doom9 gives this software high marks. I downloaded the demo code. Seems easy enough to use and everything works as expected. With one major exception. How on earth do I add DVD menus? I tried searching on this topic with poor results. I understand it's done with a plugin or additional product but I don't understand the steps, from a high level.

Current steps. Upload/Capture the DV video file. Do edits, cuts, fades, audio, titles, etc. What next? I could then render the project but to what format (assuming I know I still want to add a menu)? I've been all over the user interface and can't find anything that appears to be for creating a DVD menu.

Thanks for any help.

Firstly, you get 2 products in the MS box - MS itself and MyDVD. MyDVD isn't downloadable, so you haven't got the DVD authoring part of the package. MS is a first rate NLE, but MyDVD leaves a lot to be desired, including the ability to create chapter points! Many people don't even install MyDVD and use products like DVD-Lab or the ULead offering (whose name escapes me).
