Depends. Who do you want to see your video? Quicktime can be seen by everyone (Mac's, Windows, Linux/Unix/ SGI, Sun, etc.). Windows Media plays on Windows computer only. RealMedia is ok, I personaly don't like it. I prefer Divx (an AVI codec) but some people don't. I'd say if you want to have the most people view it, use Quicktime. Almost everyone can view quicktime. Just make sure you tell people what codec you use so they don't wonder what's going wrong if the video doesn't play. :)

MPEG-1 will play on almost any machine. Quicktime won't play on older Windows machines unless the Quicktime Player is installed. WMV will play on the Quicktime 6 player. DIVX is a separate install and is not on the majority of machines. Realmedia sucks. I prefer Quicktime and am learning to like WMV9. Hope this helps.
