I have just downloaded VF2 and I am trying to capture video from a Sony DVC-TRV520 camcorder. I am using a firewire connection - I needed to add a firewire card to my computer.

I can use the VideoCaputure on the PC to rewind and FF the tape in the camcorder. I can also start the capture process. Periodically, the capture stops, the camera keeps playing the tape, but the PC video capture appears to freeze.

I am using the video capture from the Sondry web page - videofactory20c_bld125 exe. This installs fine and runs, it also appears to start the capture.

I have WinXP Home, 384meg ram, P-III 850+ hrtz Intel. I have 2HD - 7200(40 gig) and 5400 (10 gig). I have tried both HD, not sure what the problem is.

I have tried multiple tapes in the camcoder, they both stop in the same place - usually less than 30 seconds of movie capture.
