newblue filters display "FX" watermark--trial mode, perhaps?

First, I'm not at all a hardcore video software user; this may be a silly answer with a silly solution!!

I upgraded from 18 to 20 in April 2023 and on 4-29 I was putting in some newblue filters in a project. It displays a watermark which is a faint orange "X" shape with the newblue "FX" logo in gray. Do I need to reinstall the newblue filters? when I check the 'net regarding newblue, I get a lot of (what looks to me like) technical instructions. Will I need to clear the registry, uninstall, etc. or is my newblue filter package in a demo, trial, or expiration mode??

Sorry to ask what again is probably a simple solution...any info will help!

Hi Kurt,

Did you get the effects directly from the NewBlue FX website? Also, did you purchase the effects or just downloaded them as a free trial? If they are part of a free trial, the watermark will probably remain in place unless you purchase a license for those effects. If you purchased the effects straight from the official NewBlue FX website (or got them through Magix as part of an offer for buying Vegas Pro), there shouldn't be a watermark. There might be an issue, however, if they were "Starter Pack" plugins, in which case I included this link which shows how to troubleshoot the issue.

I should also ask, did you use the effects on a different computer? It's possible that the license for those effects only works on one computer at a time. You might want to log into your NewBlue FX application manager on your old computer, deactivate the license, and sign out. Then, you should reactivate the license on your current computer -- don't forget to locate the license number, which should be in the email containing your effects pack order (OR Vegas Pro bundle order containing the effects pack if you got it through Magix).

Kurt, you're better off asking NewBlue tech support as this is just a user forum. I can think of a few reasons this might happen but you'll need to provide NewBlue more details such as which product you're referring to, a screenshot of the Application Manager, perhaps the serial number you are using, and any other details that might be helpful.
