NewBlue FX 100% FREE Cartoonr???

Jeff Cooper wrote on 4/25/2009, 2:01 PM
Hey,

I just downloaded the "100% FREE" Cartoonr from NewBlue FX, and it works really well... but it also has their Log pated all accross the screen, which basically mean that I can't use anything that I create unless I want the NewBlue FX Trademark covering up my scenes.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm guessing that if you want a version of Cartooner that you can actually use, then you have to purchase it along with a bundle of other plugins that you don't want.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to get rid of the Logo?

Also, does anyone know of another company that makes a Cartooner like this one?

Thanks!! Jeff

Hmmm .. I also have the free Cartoonr and it works fine .. without any logo .. it DOES go to the NewBlue website for a commercial pop-up whenever I open a project that uses Cartoonr, but that's the only 'problem' with it (aside from humungous rendering times)

I think it needs to be registered, doesn't it?

Jeff, you have to enter the serial number you recieve AND register it for the watermark to go away.

MSU offers a nice cartooner fx which should work inside Vegas using the Plugin Adapter.

Hey everybody,

Yes, I entered the serial number and registered and also added the four updates for Vegasthat are supposed to make the watermark go away, but it's still there. I think the problem may be that I'm using Vegas 7, not Vegas 8.

I also downloaded the MSU Cartooner, but I don't know how to get inside of the Vegas Software. I'm guessing it needs to be placed in a specific folder, but I can't find any information on how to go about that.

Does anyone know how to get the MSU Cartooner to work in Vegas?

Thanks!!! Jeff

You need to use the Debugmode Plugin Adapter in Vegas to be able to use MSU Cartoonizer. This Plugin Adapter enables you to use lots of VirtualDub filters including MSU Cartoonzier.

Jeff, you need to contact NewBlue tech support directly. Just go to their website and add a new help ticket.
