no, sorry. but you may be correct in assuming that some of these effects could be accomplished through various methods and combined effects in vegas. there's just so many things you can do with filters.

have to say what with boris, spice, new blue, et al, as much fun as they can be, there's nothing to beat a well shot, well scripted cut to cut program. yes, the odd effect when necessary, but if you have to resort to fx all the time, i find it tiring / trying.

what i think would be really spliffing would be a decent manual to go with pro titler - i think a good opening, lower thirds, and credits is worth any amount of kitsch organic wipes, etc.,

Grazie, it's quite possible leslie did mean "spliffing".

From Wikipedia:

The term spliff, also referring to various styles of marijuana cigarette rolled with tobacco, is of Jamaican English origin, but has spread to western countries, particularly Britain, Europe, Canada and the United States. Its precise etymology is unknown, but it is attested as early as 1936. While Jamaican spliffs are generally conical in shape, those elsewhere tend to be cylindrical and of varying lengths.

And this from Urban Dictonary:

also splif
(From split <divided> + spiff <well-dresssed or good>)
a quality cigarette rolled with both tobacco and marajuana, initially popular on Europe's Iberian Peninsula
additionally, the term has been adopted to mean any high quality or well-rolled marajuana joint

Not that leslie (by admission, an old hippie) has ever partaken of the demon weed :-)
