mMade a suggested update and suddenly all my titles, two days work, were gone. Found that my copy was no longer registered and refuses the former serialnumber. Anyone any idea what i should do to get my work back ?
it says in a pop up window when checking for a newer version:
- Vegas Pro 11 Users: Please do not download this version. Use the Vegas Pro 11 version (build 120402) with all of these same updates found here:
As long as you had not saved the projects with the incorrect version of Titler Pro installed, all titles would return to normal once build 120402 is installed.
We've since fixed the issue with the "ForWindows" version so this will not happen again after the next release. For now, please stay on build 120402.
so this will not happen again after the next release.
Of course, since we do not use version numbers, you'll never know when or if you have installed the next release... assuming you stick with us long enough to even care to try the next release of NBTP.

Of course you'll know. We DO use version numbers. Just go to Help - About and you'll see the version/build you have installed. I've posted multiple times what the current version is so there's no reason not to know at this time.
Yes, the current "Windows" build has an issue with Vegas. If you go to "Check For Updates", it will show that Windows version as being an available update. However, there is a note there that Vegas users should stick with build 120402 for now. We've resolved the issue for the next Windows build which will work fine with Vegas Pro 11.
The difficulty and source of confusion is that the download exe file isn't labelled with a version number, as is the case with all of the Sony (and almost every other product) installers.
To save my sanity I always rename the downloaded NewBlue exe file and give it the correct version number. That way if, for some reason I have to roll back I can easily ID the various earlier versions. Suggest everyone does this, especially NewBlue!

Paul, the Windows version allows installing for all supported NLEs including older versions of Vegas, Premiere, Avid, and Edius. Functionally, both are the same product so you're not missing any "features" using the "ForVegas" version.
