Anyone who was a Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 Production Suite user, who upgraded to Vegas Pro 11, will discover a software incompatibility between the "NewBlue Titler" for Vegas Movie Studio and the "NewBlue Titler Pro" for Vegas Pro 11 32 bit Edition.
I have been using the NewBlue Titler for Vegas Movie Studio 11 for months now, with no problems at all.
As soon as I installed Vegas Pro 11 and the NewBlue Titler Pro, the Newblue Titler for VMS11 disappeared from the Media Generators tab inside Vegas Movie Studio. In it's place was sitting the NB Titler Pro for Vegas Pro 11.
If you try and use the NB Titler Pro version in Vegas Movie Studio, it will crash Movie Studio.
I then opened up Vegas Pro 11 32 bit Edition - sitting in the Media Generators Tab was the NB Titler for VMS11 AND the NB Titler Pro for VP11. Trying to use either versions in VP11 32 bit, would cause Vegas and NewBlue to crash.
So I then started to un-install and re-install every combination I could think of, of the NewBlue Titlers for Movie Studio and Pro 11.
Here is my solution to stop crashes occurring in both programs.
Un-Install the NewBlue Titler Pro and then re-install ONLY the 64 bit Version of the program. After doing this, the NewBlue Titler for Vegas Movie Studio returned and is now fully functional again. Obviously, I now have NO NewBlue Titler Pro for the 32 bit version of Vegas Pro 11.
Now when I open Vegas Pro 11 32 bit, I can see and can use the NewBlue Titler meant for Vegas Movie Studio only.
I have reported this to Sony, but not to NewBlueFX - will do so today.
p.s.
I have installed all the very latest versions of both NewBlue programs and Vegas Pro 11 programs.
NewBlue Titler for Vegas Movie Studio latest build = 110728
NewBlue Titler Pro for Vegas Pro 11 = 110024
Using the "Check for Updates" in both original versions of the NewBlue Titlers was unreliable and gave a false reading. Only by going direct to NewBlue and using my original download links was I able to access the latest builds.
