NewBlue Video FX

Hello Everyone:

Has anyone purchased any of the effects packages from NewBlue FX? If yes, which packages and which effects are you using?

I tend to avoid effects other than basic color correction and a few transitions. I'm looking for thoughts on how others might be using effects from NewBlue FX.

I've purchased the NewBlue Video Essentials II primarily for the noise reduction plugin. I paid 50% off w/ discount from another package.

I have used the noise reduction to some degree of success w/ low light videos. Tried some of the other effects but haven't really used them. I personally, would not pay full price for any of their stuff.

Check which ones you already have (fi you have been getting them included with recent VMS packages so you don't buy sets that you have all the key effects akready.

I also have Video Essentials 2 as it gave me an easy way to do rack focus. I have a bunch of NB FX from VMS packs 8,9,10 and have found many of them to be very useful.

Kim, start by looking at the four "Essentials" packages. There are many effects in each one that are useful. Then just browse the website looking at the other products concentrating on looks you are trying to achieve.
