All the downloads on NewBlue are EXE files. They do use a dl.php file to start the proper download. Perhaps whatever you're using is not processing that correctly? What are you using for downloading? Can you try something else?

You might also try checking directly with them.

I don't get the EXE files after downloading. Never had a problem before with downloads. Guess I'll have to contact their support.

After clicking around on the NewBlueFx try page, I was able to get the exe file I wanted. On other trials, it wants to download a dl file which is useless. Sort of unpredictable.

Hi,

sounds as if you are trying a "right-click save as". At least that would explain it. You need to left click the link and wait for the download window to show up. The only other explanation would be an error on their site, I'd say.

I use the left click. Maybe you can go to the try page, login, and see what you get.

It works fine for me using firefox and IE. What browser are you using? Are you using any sort of download manager? Anything that would help narrow down possible issues?

Also, it's always good to contact specific companies with specific issues about their site/products. You indicated you had not done so. Why not contact them directly?

I'm using Internet Explorer 6. I sent NewBlueFx support an email.

Problem fixed. It was related to IE6. Talk about quick newbluefx support response.
