Please download and install the 9.0b Vegas Movie Studio update, which was posted earlier this week. This should fix your problems opening these files.

Upgraded to Premium Pro 9.0b. It still only imports audio for the D90 files. I'm using a fully patched Vista Premium. VMS is also crashing when rendering my Canon HF10 files to Sony AVCHD 1920x1080 I have set my prefs for 1 thread and 24M ram preview as outlined in another post.

Very frustrating, as I've never had any problems with Vegas before.

Email Sony to ask them to update their MJPEG library on Platinum version of Vegas too. Do not call them Premium whatever, these are not normal names for Vegas. There is Vegas Pro, Movie Studio and Movie Studio Platinum.

I meant Platinum Pro - the "pro" provides a couple of extras over Platinum. Where do I submit bug reports?

Just call it Platinum, don't try to confuse people with the word Pro, as this is MOSTLY used for Vegas Pro. The engine and features between Platinum and Platinum Pro are the same anyway, the only difference is some media files that have nothing to do with the abilities of the software.

So, there's an online support form on this site somewhere to contact Sony about the problem. The MJPEG D90 problem was indeed fixed on the Pro version and it should have been part of the Platinum 9.0b release too. I am not happy that it wasn't. I was the one who did the original bug report over 2 months ago btw. ;-)
