No Audio In Movie Studio Platinum 10

I recently had to replace my headset and got a wireless set.

Since then I get no audio in movie studio. I tried every possible audio device setting, even the one that recognized my G930 headset (windows classic wave driver).

When I drop a video in it does not collect the audio, only the video.

E: I discovered the actual cause.

I made my fraps record mulichannel audio and hd movie studio would not read the audio for some reason. After setting it back to stereo it worked fine. Too bad all that gameplay footage is lost now.

I guess Movie studio platinum HD can't do anything more than stereo sound?

Is the audio from the video file or is it live audio you're trying to record through the headset? I through the headset, do you still get audio from files that already contain it?

Can you see the audio waveform on the screen and just can't hear it? Or is the waveform blank?

Is there even an audio track on the screen?

Is the headset connected to audio in/out jacks or through USB?

Thank you very much for replying, what timing though, I was just editing my first post to say I found the problem.

Movie Studio can't read any of my Fraps videos that are recorded with the multichannel audio option for some reason.

It doesn't even put an audio track down; I guess it can only read stereo?

A quick Google search found an answer here:

It doesn't appear to be a VMS problem at all, but your headset.
