No audio in video factory

I'm able to capture video perfectly, but when I open file in Video factory, there's only video, no audio. I can open file in Video capture and everything's perfect. I can open file in Window's Media Player and everything's perfect. No freakin' audio in Video Factory. Someone please help!

Sincerely,

Bluestrat

Do you have audio when you play back your captured video when using windows media player?

If you are feeding your audio in via your LINE IN of your sound card check your setting for it to make sure it is enabled.

Thanks for replying darkman 208. I do hear audio when I open file in Windows Media Player. Everything seems fine upon capturing the video. But there's no audio when I open the file in Video Factory. I use a pyro 1394 firewire card and S.F Video Capture, not line-in input. But I've checked soundcard settings and everything's cool. What do I do? Thanks.

I had the same problem. It seemed to happen almost at random. Some captures were fine, many weren't. I don't recall the problem arising with the initial version of VF2, before the fix.
In the preferences on the 'Capture' tab I enabled '...capture into seperate streams to create type 2-DV .avi files' and that seems to have solved the problem. But of course you have to recapture your video.

I've tried what you're suggesting, but I'll give it another shot. On the capture tab, where it says "master stream", should I click audio, video, or leave as none? Thanks for your response.
