no audio markers w/AVC render after changing Media Markers to False

I know the issue of no chapter markers when rendering AVC has been covered, with the solution being to change the Media Markers in Video File to FALSE, and DVD-A should see the markers in the audio file. This trick isn't working for me. I verified the markers are in the audio file by dropping it into Sound Forge. I know I can add markers in DVD-A, but even when I max zoom the timeline they still don't end up exactly where I have them in the Vegas timeline.

My projects are usually BD delivery and have read AVC is much better than mpeg-2.

In Vegas when I click on Render Options, I only have three options to check (stretch video to fill output frame size, save project as path reference in rendered media file, swap video files on render). When rendering in MPEG-2 I would select "save project markers in rendered media file", but this option is not available to check, and is under the heading of "stretch video to fill output frame size".

Vegas Pro 16 build 424

DVD-A build 84 (can't tell which version I have; either 6 or 7. When I click on Help-Contents & Index, says "what's new in version 6.0". When I click on Help-About DVDA-Components, says "7.0.0.84".

Anyone have success when changing Media Markers to False?

The latest build of DVDA7 is 100 and DVDA5 is 197. So either way you should check into updating, most likely DVDA7: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-dvd-architect-update-3-build-100-general-discussion--115060/

About this problem, AVC is best for blu ray unless you need MPEG-2 for some weird legacy reason. MPEG-2 is HUGE compared to AVC and is not efficient as AVC. Also, make sure you're using a blu ray AVC template!

The first thing I'd try is deleting the .sfk and other small files that are created by DVDA when you import your video and audio files (while DVDA is closed) and reopen the project and see if it detects the markers again. You may have to click the floppy disk icon to read markers when you're in the timeline (double click a video).

If that did not work try opening a new project and import the video with the markers and see if that works there.

Otherwise, do you have more than 255 chapters in your whole blu ray project? There's a maximum.

In Vegas I rendered using MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4-Blu-ray. In DVD-A I opened a new project Blu-ray Disc/AVC. For this test I only have six chapters.

I think I found the problem; I didn't select the "Load Markers" on the DVA timeline. Once selected, now they appear and work as normal. Sorry, don't know how I missed that simple step.

Thanks for your help!
