No Audio on Disk

Project edited with Vegas 12. Simple single movie DVD. Audio shows in audio track in timeline, audio plays from the timeline and from preview. Burned 2 discs, both play with no audio in all players & PCs, including in the PC that was used to burn, using the same drive.

Have only one video and one audio track-tried the track activate and deactivate, but apparently because there is only one track of each you cannot deactivate? Regardless to clicking on the speaker of the audio track, hover and it always says "deactivate track". The speaker button remains white regardless of clicking it. In the surround icon at the left of the audio track one speaker has a small square blinking black & white.

Among the Review Message List items is one that says the audio on track 1 will be compressed--so it's there.

Arch 6.0

Have used it in the past, no problems.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If DVDA wants to recompress anything, you did something wrong upstream.

You should "render as" your MPEG2 file using the DVDA template without audio, and the audio AC3 file using the Dolby Digital AC3 template using the same filename. Bring the MPG file into DVDA and the AC3 file should follow.
