No Audio on imported video files

Would really appreciate any help on this one. I'm working witha few video files that were created from VHS tapes by Roxio Easy Media Creator 7. The files play just fine in all of my "normal" video players on computer but when I open them in Sony Architect Studio there is no audio. The files are in .mpg format. I have tried converting one or two into mpeg2 using ImTOO MPEG encoder but it doesn't help. Thanks for any help.

Hi Craig,

I don't think that DVDA can accept an mpg file that has not been de-multiplexed. You need to enter seperate streams. I.E. and mpeg video stream and an AC3 audio stream. Make sure the names on both are the same except for the suffix. That should do it for you.

Be sure you're using the most current update of Vegas Movie Studio. It's on version 4.0a, Build 48.
