No audio when rendered ... ??

I have made several successful trial movies with Vegas 9, but suddenly the audio track is not being rendered with the video. The audio plays perfectly well in Edit, and I've made sure that I haven't accidentally muted it, but it's just not there when I render an .mpeg. No doubt I've inadvertently changed some setting, but I haven't been able to find what it is. It worked on earlier renderings from the same video/audio. I'm a brand new user and new to video editing, but an old hand at computers and web sites.

You probably chose an MPEG template that doesn't include the audio. Look at the description text to see if it mentions audio.

If you will be making a DVD with DVD Architect Studio, then it is best to use one of the DVD Architect templates for the video portion (which one you choose depends whether you need NTSC or PAL) and either render to AC-3 or WAV for the audio.

That was it! Thanks, I didn't even know where to look, and it never occurred to me that some templates would be only video. Now I know. MANY thanks! And thanks for such a quick response. I'm sure I'll be back. :)
