I was told that when you use "Render As" that you had to do the audio separately. Whenever I choose burn to hard drive from Make Movie the only options I see is the Format Template and destination folder.

So which format and template are you choosing?

Last week instead of saving to hard drive I chose Make DVD and it sent movie and audio to Architect. When I save to hard drive the Format says Main Concept Mpeg-2 and the Template is DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen. Not knowing anything about Templates I took for granted that was right. Thanks for the help.

That is what I (and Kelly) assumed you had done, but without actually telling us, there is no way anyone could possibly know.

Mpeg-2 DVD Architect templates all have audio disabled by default.
That is because DVD Architect expects separate video and audio streams.

If you want audio, you can enable it in the template, or choose another template.
However, if you give that to Architect, it will render the audio a second time.

Is your goal to create a DVD, or is it to create a file that you will play from your hard drive?

If you want to create a DVD then in addition to rendering the MPEG2 video file you should also render a Dolby digital audio .ac3 file with the same filename as the video. Using the "send to DVD Architect" does this extra step for you. When rendering to hard drive this step is manual.

If you want a file you can watch straight from the hard drive then MPEG2 may not be the best choice. Probably something like MP4 would give a better result in a smaller file and will have the audio included automatically.
