Lots of forum users have commented on the difficulty of working with Sony DVD camcorders.

But I've bought one. Seems very good. Except for import of DVD.

I've purchased Sony Movie Studio Platinum 6. It claims to import DVD files from Sony DVD camcorders. It adds that Dolby 5.1 audio is downmixed to stereo.

But all audio is lost on import. Studio can successfully import other mpeg files with audio.

Why can't I get video with audio?

Is this a bug?

What could I be doing wrongly ?
