If I render my video as an MPEG (mpeg1 or mpeg2) or as a QuickTime file for 56 kps download, the audio is missing. When I play the file, it's silent.
I have audio in my tracks just fine. If I render my video as an AVI file or a full QuickTime file (not set for 56 kps download), then the audio appears to be okay too.
And yes, the dialog shows that the audio should be included. As far as I know, I have not done anything to turn off the audio.
I had similar problems with Screenblast Movie Studio v 3.0 way back in May. I thought I had gotten around the problem by always going into the "Advanced" rendering options. It seemed to work better there, but I tried that this time and it still didn't produce any audio for the file types that I listed above.
The solution that I was given back in May was to render the file as an AVI, bring it into a DVD authoring program and have the DVD program render it as mpeg. That may work, but it does not seem acceptable for a feature that should work. Last night I installed Movie Studio 4.0 thinking it might be a 3.0 bug. But, it doesn't work for me with 4.0 either.
I can play other files downloaded from the Web (Quicktime, Windows Media, Real Media, etc.) all just fine. I don't think that it's a problem with the play back, but rather the rendering.
Has anyone else seen this problem and have any solutions?
Thanks.
