I'm betting it's something with your specific system. Why don't you post some system details?

download it again. I think there was a problem with that original file.

Yeah, it seems like an isolated issue. I don't have the problem here! It seems to work just fine!

(However, scanning for my drive seems to take forever!!)

Mine *does* take forever. CTRL/ALT/DEL to recover. Mind you, I have got a stack of 7 scsi PlexWriters attached, so I'll give them some time to fix that ...

scanning for drives taking forever is a known issue. It happens to me too with my external Plextor drive.
Geoff_Wood wrote on 10/16/2002, 6:01 PM
Not quite 'forever' - in response to you post I let it run for *5 minutes* , and it did eventually find my drives !
dcomo wrote on 10/16/2002, 9:48 PM
Yeah, it eventually will. However, try burning a CD. That will take 'forever' as well and only has a 5% success rate.

However, this software is beta and it is basically to show that they are on the right track! Hopefully they are collecting this data to use for the next preview release. (Or final, but the software looks to shakey for that just yet.) Since this preview dies in about 2 1/2 weeks, hopefully they will have a new version lined up ready to go.
