No Disc?

I just installed a Teac CDR58S and since then I have been unable to burn on CDA 5. My computer recognizes the drive and CDA can read the audio from the drive but when I put a recordable disc in the drive, the burning window says there is "no disc." When a read only disc is present, it properly states that there is a "read only disc" in the drive. What can be causing this? I have tried multiple brands of CDR's, both 80 and 74 minute. No success. Any suggestions?

Your set to the right burner in the options?

there is a known issue with burning *multiple* discs with newly inserted ones not being recognised.

What happens when you ejaculate the disc, then stick it in a second time ? In the multiple-burn scenario, this clears it.

I have selected the correct burner in the options, and I eject and reinsert the disc into the burner and it still shows No Disc. Could it be in the firmware or the driver?

Could be the firmware. Could be the media combinationwith your drive - try others, especially not just the cheapest. Unlikely tobe the driver )they are pretty standard).
