Instead of a question, here is a solution that may help some
of the many people who have drive recognition/no disk in
drive type problems.
Like everyone else, we upgrade to version f but our
Panasonic 7503 just would not work with CDA (no disk in
drive error message).
We are using a Tekram 390U2W controller and went to the
Tekram site, downloaded the latest card bios and Win 98
drivers. It took only about 30 minutes and hey presto! we
are in business again.
So dont dump on CDA if you have this type of problem - check
to make sure you have the latest software installed. By the
way, this 390U2W was brand new but the bios/drivers were 12
months old so it pays to check for new software anyway.
