No DVD Start?

Hello all, here is my problem. I have been able to successfully create a project from start to finsh with Vegas5 and DVD2. My problem however is I imported the file from Vegas complete with chapters set and titles and they imported fine into DVD2 but when i preview the DVD everything works fine. The problem you ask? After I burn the DVD the menu that I set for DVD Start doesnt work. It just goes straight to the movie, the chapters all work fine, but when I press the menu key it goes to the menu but none of the buttons work like they did in the preview. Is there something that I am doing wrong. Please help, very frustrated. Thanks in advance.

Can you take a screen cap of your workspace (make sure the Project Overview window is visible, as well as the menu that's not working properly) and put it online? If you don't have webspace, send the screen cap to me at bstro AT 50mail DOT com.

I had the same thing happening, turns out, the problem only showed up on my AOPEN DVD player on the computer. When I played the DVD in 2 different players with my TV, it works perfect. Try it in a floor model or tv top model or whatever you call them

Pikshirtkr - I thought that might have been the problem also but I tried it in different set top players as well as DVD software on my pc's. Any other thoughts on what the problem could be?

I have a similar problem with my main menu not loading and the player going straight to the 1st video. It happens with one of our "older" DVD players.

What bothers me is version 1.0 would burn the same job fine. I'm having to redo new work in version 1. so I can be sure of better compatability.

SChadder:

I finally got my problem worked out. I was using a "off-brand" program to burn the DVD. Once I used the burn functionality of DVDA2 it worked fine. Then I tried to use NERO and it worked also. Hope this helps
