No Longer Able to access effect properties in Vegas 16 all of a sudden

A very bizzare thing occurred this past week with my Vegas 16 (361). When I apply an effect, it goes directly back to the timeline instead of to the effect properties. I have a trouble ticket in, but no solution as of yet. I went back to Vegas 15 and it works just fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled V16 many times, but the same problem. It has worked great since I bought it, but all of a sudden it hangs. I cannot even click on the pan button. It just does nothing.

I just fixed the problem by resetting Vegas 16 to default. It worked. Ctrl+Shift while clicking on program icon and resetting it a clearing the cache out.

If it happens again one possibility the window might of been moved almost off screen if you have it floating. Restoring to a default layout might fix it.
