No proyect media window

Thanks in advance for your help.
When I bring a file to the Proyect Media Area and I tried to play the file using the start preview key (arrow key), I can hear the sound but I can not see the video of that file. The small screen that use to be there next to the file is no more there..
Use to be two little screens every time that I open the the Vegas Studio 9 (Platinium Pro-Pack) program, in the Proyect Media Window Area. Now there is none.
If I want to see how is the file, then I have to bring it to the timeline area and then press the Video Preview Tab, and then a little screen apears on the right side of The Proyect Media Area, and then using the play tab in the Timeline Area I can see how is the video of the file that I brougth to the Proyect Media Area.
I want to know how Ican bring back the other little screen that use to be there in the Proyect Media Area?

Sounds like you have either closed or docked the trimmer. Go to the View menu and make sure the trimmer is visible. Then, if it's docked, undock it and redock it the way it used to be docked.

thanks for the help.
I when to the View and check the trimmer.The trimmer is activeded.
When I tried to use the program the first time, I remember that when was opened, and I brougth a file to the Proyect Media area, after using the play tab
I could see the video in the area where was the file, now only I could here the sound.
There use to be two screens, and in between the two the levels of the Mixer, in the Proyect Media Area, now when I bring a file to the Proyect media area that is the only thing that appears in that area.

try going to view>windows layout>default

I used the default, and everything went back to factory settings.
