No Recompress Required

I use Raylight AVIs to edit DVCProHD in Vegas, and was rendering out a 720 24p Raylight AVI for a master cut.

Anywhere that didn't have transitions or color correction said "no re compress required". Awesome!

Is this a Vegas feature or a raylight feature? I've heard around here that HDV also works this way, are these the only two?

Now that I look at it, the message font looks the same as other raylight messages. But still, really cool to be able to do that!

I think this is a Vegas feature since the same rings true for DV.
If you ingest a DV file then Render a DV file, there is No Recompression... so I think Vegas notices that there is No Change and therefore No Compression needed. It simply copies/writes the original information.
