"No Renderer Found" solution

A solution to the "No renderer found for source reader" problem has been found. Thanks to Ted Hoch from SF tech support. Here's part of what he told me...

"I've just learned that if the file twain_32.dll is not properly installed, then that error can be generated. Use the Windows find function to search for that file, and then rename it to twain_32.old and then reinstall the file from the Windows CD-ROM. Let me know if that does it."

I just downloaded twain_32.dll from the internet because it wasn't even installed on the system I have. I got it from http://www.ebbosoft.com/Products/Demoversion/demoversion.html
I put it in the Windows directory and no more error message!
Thanks all!!!

Unfortunately, that solution did not work for me. I tried several versions of twin_32.dll and none of them corrected that issue. I tried putting it in the "Windows" dir, the \SYSTEM dir and even in all the directories for VF. No go. Oh well - this problem I can live with ... the loss of my Scrolling Credits I cannot - I paid for a product and now I am getting only 75% of it as many have experienced things stopping to work or dissappearing etc.

SONIC - please advise me what to do to get these back. I've been polite - and I've been patient... but now I'm getting just a little peeved because my Christmas project has blank areas where I wanted scolling text. It won't be good for you if us users who are 'missing' parts of the program start to whisper "class action lawsuit". I am still happy with the program thus far - aside from this missing attribute - please help me continue to feel this way...

I know every new program suffers from 'initial' success - and there may be issues that develop on individual basis - but you need to have the support staff to deal with these issues or release to product as a BETA to the users BEFORE a final release so that these and other issues can be discovered prior to manifesting into a major problem.

The file twain_32.dll is a generic driver for scanners. It belongs in the C:\Windows directory. Why its absense or presence has to do with Video Factroy if anything, I don't know. Avoid having multiple copies.

As far as help on credit roll and other text animation, look under Text and Backdrops after clicking on Help on VF's Menu Bar.
