I was hoping to hear something on the Cinescore front, too.

Since it seems Cinescore was shelved due to a lawsuit with Smartsound I would not count on a replacement.

I don't. I bought it, installed it and that was the end of it for me.
Smartsound has a HUGE library and now have music with vocals. Their product is NLE agnostic so their potential client base is much bigger than Cinescore's. That means they can amortize the cost of recording music over many more sales.
What I've found ever so useful with Smartsound is I don't have to find the music the client wants for them, I just point them to Smartsound and let them choose the music.

Their "shutdown" notice indicated "We're currently developing next generation music creation technology and the discontinued version of Cinescore will be the last." So at least at that time it sounded like they were working or planning on some kind of replacement...

Edit: But I also think SmartSound integration would be awesome. (Unlikely, but awesome.)
