No Sound after renedering m2t into mpeg2 & quality

Hi,

I`m posting first time here. I have been using UV Studio for long time with my SD camera, but have purchased Canon HD11. I found Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 Pro the only soft which had trial and can easy import and handle m2t files from my SDHC card. However, when I rendered a few minutes movie (new camera test) it took a while but the most important issue was sound loss. I played back rendered mpeg file in PowerDVD and there was no sound at all. Why is that?
My next question is regarding rendering again. I shot movie test in 1980x1080 but when I chose render into mpeg2 it has changed project to 1440x1080 What does it mean for user? Does it mean quality down? Why cannot be rendered in Full HD as recorded or I`m missing something?

Thank you for any help

You didn't get sound because you probably exported in Blu-Ray .m2v which doesn't have sound. You need to export using the "AVCHD 1920x1080/30p" template from the Sony AVC filetype drop down menu.

Yes, Mpeg2 HDV is always 1440x1080. That resolution was defined by the HDV Consortium.

Again, for your needs, you need to export using the right full HD 1080p AVCHD template (not the Blu-Ray ones), or manually exporting in h.264/AAC using the MP4 container.
