No sound in some scenes

I just burned a DVD from a project I created in Vegas. The final mpg file works perfectly. When I preview the file in DVDA, it too works perfectly. But when I played my DVD in a player, there was no sound in every clip that came from one particular original source file.

All scenes had sound except: for every clip originating from this one particular source file there is none. It is there in the original clips, the clips in the Vegas preview, the clips in the DVDA preview, the clips in the finished mpg, the clips in the VOB file, but not in the final DVD!

Added later: I just played the finished DVD back on my computer's DVD player and the sound is there also. But it isn't there on playback in my home DVD deck. Why does my home DVD deck (a Pioneer brand) not play the sound for just certain clips? Is there a setting that I can/need to change-somewhere?

What's different about this one particular source file?

What happens if you make a quick DVD with just a short clip from this one particular source file? Does that also play sans sound in your DVD deck?

Sorry I am late getting a response back to you- I was out of town over the weekend.

As far as I know, there is no difference in this one source file. They are all files shot from 8mm camcorders. There were clips from three different source camcorders.

I just did as you suggested and created a DVD using just a clip from the "trouble" file and the sound does not play in my DVD deck. However, just as before, if I view the VOB file, the sound is there.

What does this mean? Thanks for any help you can give.
