I am quite new to working with 5.1 surround and I have a problem there.
I am using a Creative Soundblaster X-Fi and a standard 5.1 surround set with my computer. I do not get any subwoofer sound during editing with Vegas 6 (and the Creative monitor is showing, that there is no sound routed through the subwoofer channel), only if I am making use of special LFE tracks. If I render my sound tracks (without any LFE tracks) to ac3 or wmv surround, the output is making use of the subwoofer. What I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help!
