No SVCD? Bad MPEG handling? ERK?

Hmm... just bought this product today.

MPEG manipulation is... slow. It doesn't handle all my
files correctly either, missing audio or scrambling video
in some of them (these same files work fine in other tools).

And SVCD handling has been taken out?

Any chances of fixes for these? All I bought this product
for was to take MPEG files from my WinTV-PVR, cut them and
output to SVCD. That's it. I don't even need special FX -
just something that correctly handles MPEG files (eg.
timecodes, remux).

*sigh* Off to find another product.

For your needs, another product may be more appropriate.

Hmm, typical of what response I have recieved. Sonic has the chance to make a great product but instead just does a minimal job on the MPEG front.

you know, i do like the product but i agree that the MPEG front was skimped on. seriously, LSX 3.5 and GoMotion DO support full SVCD compliance, but it wasn't included. and come on. there are two common FREEWARE programs (bbMPEG and TMPEGEnc) that can create SVCD-cmpliant streams. how difficult would it be to just add an automatic demux/remux option to VF so you could encode the same as always and fix it at the end. i'd wait the extra 5-10 minutes. also, i guess there won't ever be a LSX 3.5 plugin, right? but the ULead DVD plugin now comes with the Lsxmpgk7.dll (Athlon optimized GoMotion engine DLL). is it possible to swapt that for the P3 DLL and have it work correctly? or update the plugin to include it? please?
