no thumbnails in preview monitor

Hi,

Thumbnails are not showing up in my preview monitor in Movie Studio HD11. It's just a list of file names. I've looked here and on the web and haven't found how to do this or fix it. I've even reinstalled the program. They should look like this:

If you are talking about the Project Media Bin,
there is a dropdown right at the top of the window that shows VIEWS. Choose how you want to view the files.

Thank you for your response. I did try that several times and each option does not show the thumbnails.

Is mine broken?

The Thumbnails only appear in the Project Media Pane. You are in the Explorer Pane.

Sorry I should have picked up it was an 11 query not 12 which I have. Is there a difference here between 11 and 12?

oh, right. sorry-it's been 2 years since I've used Vegas as the files were not compatible with the camera I had so I'm in relearning mode.
