No Titler Improvements?

Some nice features in the new version but I've got to say I'm really disapointed with the lack of titler improvments in Vegas. The titler in Premeire has been light years ahead since 6.5 and it seems like such a basic feature these days in NLEs. Canopus Edius now includes titlemotion pro, Final Cut has Live type and so on. After being neglected in V5 I was sure they would listen to us in V6... WOW I'm really surprised. I realise there are 3rd party programs but why should I have to pay extra for a basic feature in an otherwise very advanced program. Also many of the third party title programs I've tried in the past do not integrate well in Vegas.

The media manager seems good but I would like to see the old media pool improved for those projects that don't need the media manger (which sucks up resources). Some basic improvments would be better use of the space (much is wasted around icons), basic note functionality and ability to move clips around in a story board way.

Also when I heard that they have not fixed the ripple/black frame problem I was again really surprised. At least let us know what going on with this issue. This is getting silly.

I agree re: the titler. I haven't used the Media Manager, so don't know much. But I was really hoping for a titler at least as good as Title Motion that I was using 5 years ago in Speed Razor (maybe it was 4 years ago...). And seeing LiveType made me a bit... jelous - with regard to titlers.
Still... I love Vegas 6!

I was told that BORIS is the titler enhancement. You can make some awesome title using BORIS... but man, it takes a looooong while to come up to speed and get those awesome titles.

Try Bluff Titler or Heroglyph. They're a bit easier to learn and the output is pretty amazing.

I'd rather be a Master of a single program rather than know a little about a lot of programs so I'd also like to see the Titler beefed up so I wouldn't have to leave Vegas for titles.
