might have run out of memory not sure, using vegas 20 build 411... what I used to do is add a track for text... drag in an example from thew media gen, but nothing shows... not a thing, grey box, no text, ot even the old credit rolls stuff, does it have to be on a special track now or something ? please advise

just to say a fresh new project and I can add text, well I just started a new project, dragged some text in from the media gen... bingo, but my other project, nothing... greyed out, why?
if I do a slight fade in on my video track and place some text from the media gen under the video track it'll show... soon as the video track fades in fully the text track vanishes... as i say new project all is good... existing project... impossible to add text, I'm now flighting with Vegas to try and finish my project... might have to do the text in photoshop... so please help me out of this quirk as it's utterly destroying my flow

new project, working... so why this quirk? there's nothing about my project which is weird... the text just doesn't work... what have i done to stop this working?

@Tony-Smith I'm guessing from those last 2 very brief comments you worked out you had Solo selected at the track header.
