No Video capture window in Vegas 6

Never had a problem like this before but with Digital video camera connnected to IEEE bus and selecting video capture under Edit, the video capture window does not appear. Removed an reinstalled Vegas and tried again with no luck.

Capture program is Vegas is the one that is default on the video tab under properties to the Vegas capture driver/program.

Please some assist me in atttempting to find out why I have no capture window opening in Vegas.

Make sure in Options - Preference - Video tab, make sure the "Use External video capture application" is checked for standard DV. This will open the standard external application. If, for some reason, the external app is not opening properly, update to the most current version.

Thanks, upgrading to version B solved the problem which means the first release must have had some issue with capturing of which I was never aware or encounterd until recently.
