A little more info that I got by downloading the MediaInfo utility.

Format : AVI
Format/Info : Audio Video Interleave
File size : 43.2 MiB
Duration : 10mn 38s
Overall bit rate : 568 Kbps
Writing application : Lavf52.78.5

Video
ID : 0
Format : xvid
Codec ID : xvid
Duration : 10mn 38s

Does this mean that I have to do something with the "xvid" codec? Is it not in VMS10?

The dreaded Xvid video (as well as its evil cousin Divx).

They're great video codecs for displaying your video on the web -- but virtually no video editor can edit them.

Is this your only format/codec option your YouTube downloader can create?

Most will at least give you the option of an MP4.

Yes Steve, I did try the mp4 format about an hour after I posted the question and that worked great.

Thanks for the response.
