Noise In the Edges of a Title

Anyone have tips on an approach to reduce Noise In the Edges of a Title?

(I'm using Photoshop)

Here is the title:

Its really just a "cut out" with a stroke that then overlays a flashy and colorful video in VV.

It looks OK but by the time its rendered down to MPEG the edges get too crunchy.

Any tips would be great...

increase the resolution. Or... do the text in vegas & increase the res of the generated media, then use a mask to "cut" out the middle.

Sorry, can you elaborate on this technique?

Do the text in vegas using default text

Type your text set your font and colour in white level 2 composite mode multiply mask

Copy level 2 and past the copy onto new level 1 in the text editor set text color transparency to clear and set your outline colour and thickness

then place your video on level 3
