I'm assuming you've tried the NGs that are in the V4 package? Old movie etc . . . ? As you are asking about PS, you are probably aware that items can be brought in from a Graphics package - yes? I use PaintShopPro and MS PhotoDraw. I suppose one could bring a selection of single graphics images and mess about with several of theses images "creating" the look 'n feel you want. Oh, what's the look 'n feel you want? - Should have asked this from the beggining . . . too much noise being generated from me! Please tell us what you're after?

OK, for example.

There is the lava noise generator in Vegas 4. and when it is on the timeline, instead of the two buttons (pan/crop and media fx), there are three, one on the top right corner. So I click that, and now I can mess around with frequency, progress, offset, grain paremeters, etc.. Hence, I can make a motion background using it. What type of files are those? Can I create a similar fluid background, and then make it a noise generator so I can make it a moving background?

Hope that helps

alright. I just want to know what types of files those noise generators are. Like there file extensions? It would be really cool to make your own textures in photoshop, like RENDER>Clouds, and then be able to manipulate those in Vegas.

This is just my guess, but i think that Vegas' noise texture generators are internal to Vegas and are computed mathematically while previewing and rendering. I don't think they exist in any files that could be accessed or imported.

Jag5311,
I'm not sure about what you ask for but my guess is that if you go to www.mainconcept.com and check out MainVision, you could find something interesting...
It's not free though...
