Noise Reduction 2.0

I have battled with Sound Forge 7 and Noise Reduction 2 for the past 2 hours and cannot remove background noise without bizarre chirps at various locations throughout the clip. I I have been through the Vegas 5 Editing Workbook and followed the tips to the letter. I went online and reviewed troubleshooting and FAQs and followed their instruction...nothing. Every time I hit OK, the chirps pop up. I have tried sliders...I am at a loss. I know I am doing something wrong, but what? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you registered the Noise Reduction plugin? If not, you're probably still using the demo version and this will insert high-pitched beeps now and then so that you can still see how well it works, but you don't get a usable file until after it's paid for and registered.

I'm far from an expert on Noise Reduction, but I recall I was able to reduce the chirps by changing the setting in the "Reduction type" drop down box, and also sliding the "Reduce noise by" slider to the left.

Spot and others will have much better info for you.

Yes, it is the demo that came with Spot's Vegas 5 Workbook. I tried briggs' suggestion of using the slider and it mocks me. I cannot lose the darn chirps. You would think the demo version would inform of this issue, but what do you want for nothing? Thanks for the quick feedback.
