First, my apologies for posting this audio problem on the video section, but after posting on the audio section I noticed that I was the first post since March. Obviously not too much activity there. Hopefully I'll do better on a high traffic area. So ...
I had to reinstall Windows XP, and as a result also my Vegas materials. I downloaded Noise Reduction, entered my serial number when prompted, and the plug in became available. At no time was I prompted for an activation code, already being an active owner, I guess.
I do not have Sound Forge so I use NR 2.0 directly on the Vegas 4 timeline, as I have done many times before.
Now, however, when I select a small portion of a soundtrack, instead of capturing a noise print -- the "hairy worm" as I call it -- I get a clean straight black bar at the bottom of the noise print chart.
I have tried this on several sound tracks I have, including some that I grabbed noiseprints in the past. Same results -- the same straight bar.
I sent an email to tech support 5 working days ago and have yet to
get a response. Can't find anything remotely relevant in knowledge base. Any thoughts, folks?
Maybe a forum administrator reading this will help. 1126886827 is the incident number, I believe.
